Int the article " The problem of Motivation" by Lauren Lee it talks about how kids aren't excited to learn anymore because there worried about tests and their grade. This matters because if kids don't get motivated then they wont do well at school. This matters to me because if I don't get motivated for a subject then I wont learn the material as well. What matters from this is that kids are not happy about having to take classes that they don't need in their future. This matters to me because I find it stupid to take English and History because I don't think I will be using them in my future. This matters to education because kids want to get smarter in certain subjects and not learn everything. In the article "What If", by Karl Fisch it talks about how people didn't think that education would change with the new technologies and they thought if the new technologies broke that kids and teachers would forget how to use the old technologies. What matters from this is that if people tried to avoid the new technologies when they first came out we would still be using a slates. This matters to me because if people had listen to each other then school would be a lot harder then it is now. This matters to education because if this never happened then we would have never started using new technologies and learning would be completely different. This matters to the world because if the technology never changed then we would still be using slates and learning would be a lot harder so the people in this world would be less smart. What matters from this is that teachers have hard jobs and need good skills to be able to teach students right. This matters to me because If I don't have a good teacher then I wont be successful or smart. What matters from this is that kids aren't good at learning at school and they can't focus they are to dismal about school they just think its boring. This matters to me because I think some of my classes are boring and I don't try to hard in them. What matters from this is that kids aren't learning enough but they don't know what to improve the teachers or the students. This matters to me because if I don't learn then I wont be successful in life because I don't enough. What matters is if people don't have the right skills people won't be able to improve what or who they work for. This matters to me because if I don't make the person or the company that I work for happy with how I'm improving it they might fire me. This matters to education because kids need to be taught these skills so they can be successful. This matters to the world because if people don't improve then we will always be the same. I think malevolent people shouldn't wish bad things to the people who try and become successful just because there to lays to work at it.

In the article "Former President Bill Clinton rallies Danver crowd for Bennet" by Michael Booth, it tells how our former precedent is helping Bennet by convincing people to vote for him. What matters from this is if Bennet isn't the right choice then he will be screwing up Colorado because he might have bad ideas that will ruin stuff. This matters to me because he could change my life with new ideas that could change my life good or bad. This matters to education because Bennet might change Colorado's education in bad ways. This matters to the world because he might try to run for precedent in the future and he might cause global conflicts. To conclude we must not let former president's ideas make us vote for somebody who isn't a good choice for Colorado Senate.

In the video "2020 Vision" by Karl Fisch he explains what he thinks will happen in 2020 what matters from this is if this is all correct then if one company owns everything bad things might come out of it because they might control everything in the world. In his video he thinks that companies will buy other companies until their all owned by one person. This matters to me because if this happens to me in the future then I will have no chance of getting more successful in life. This matters to education because all of the kids at Arapahoe will have their own laptops so they can be more efficient but if might over load the Internet at Arapahoe and there will be technical difficulties. This matters to the world because everything will all be controlled by Google and there will be no way for somebody else to gain control. To conclude Karl Fisch is a philosopher for giving us these ideas about the future so we can prepare for it.

In the article "Denver woman shot after argument at convenience store" by Kieran Nicholson a woman is shot after arguing with a person at a conscience store what matters from this is people are using their right to freedom of speech and are getting shot for it and it matters because if people use their freedom of speech they may be killed for no good reason. This is a very bad thing to happen to people if they can t tell people their ideas. This matters to me because if I use my freedom of speech I might be killed by somebody. This matters to education because student might become afraid of using their freedom of speech because they think that bad things will come out of it so they won't tell people their ideas. This matters to the world because people will be afraid to tell people what might be the better solution to problems because they think it might make people mad. To conclude people should not be punished if they use their right to freedom of speech.

What matters is that people won't have essential skills to live because the education right now isn't teaching us things that people want at their companies. I learned from the article that there are 7 skills that kids aren't learning but they need these skills for thier futures. This matters to me because I might not be learning enough to do well in my future. This matters to education because kids might not know enough to succeed in life. This matters to the world because kids aren't learning essential skills that they need as much anymore. To conclude kids need more philanthropist to help them learn essential skills.

I read the article "Man killed outside Springs Walmart identified" by Kieran Nicholson when a man gets killed outside of walmart what matters from this is innocent people are being shot for no reason because some people are crazy. In this article it expalins a guy was walking outside of Walmart and he got shot for no reason. This matters to me because I go to Walmart and other places where I could be shot for no reason. This matters to education because if this happens at a school kids will miss school days. This matters to the world because there are millions of Walmarts and places like it where Innocent people could be killed. To conclude Innocent people are being killed by crazy people for no reason.

In the video Web 2.0 ... The Machine is us/ing us it made me think that the machines aren't using us we are using them. I think this because we are using all of their capability for our selves. This matters because if the machines start using us they could take control of the world. This matters to me because if the machine starts using me I will be forced to do whatever they want. It matters because we may die if the Earth gets to hot. If the Earth gets hoter and the sun gets hoter then it will be impossible too live on earth. This matters to me because It might be too hot someday to ever enjoy live. This matters to education because if it gets to hot students will be to hot and sweaty to focus on their work. It matters because it can make it so people don't get accepted into the collage they want to go to. This matters to me because it can effect what collage I get into. This matters to education because kids might give away their answers on a social network to a friend and it will make their friend less smart. This matters to the world because anyone can know what you're doing where you live or what you do and figure out other information. In the article At least 63 structures burned in fire near Boulder by Joey Bunch, Bruce Finley and Kevin Vaughan. It matters because forest fires can damge a lot of difrent things. It says that at least 63 structures have been burned in the Boulder area because of a fire that has been burning many areas and has burned 35,000 acres. Nobody knows the cause of the fire yet but they will investigate once they stop the fire. It matters to me because if the fire keeps on burning it could cause a lot of damage and pollute more of the air to cause more global warming so my future will be worse. This matters to education because schools might have been burnt down and the kids have to leave the area and miss shcool so they wont be able to learn.This matters to the world because it is causing globel warming and also killing a lot of trees making it so we have less oxygen. To conclude this fire is causing a lot of damge to the area and the world and it needs to stop.

I read the article Is Google Making Us Stupid by Nicholas Carr and I think that Google is making us stupid and it is making us smarter. It matters because a lot of people us Google so if it is making us stupid then a lot of people will be stupid. It is making some people dumber because they look up an answer or something and don't even read about it they just copy it. It is also making some people smarter if they look up good websites that have good info and if they read it all and think about it can be just as good as a book. I think Google is making me a smarter because I can read all of the info and think about it instead of copying the answers. I think Google will make the world smarter if people read the facts but if they copy it or skim it I think it will make the world dumber. To conclude I think Google is a wonderful invention if used in the right ways.

I watched the video a vision of students today by Michael Wesch and it made me think that students are not using technology to help them with their education instead they are getting on Facebook and other things that distract them from their work. I also think that they over do it and don’t ever work on what is more important in their lives. I think that technology helps me in life but it also distracts me with games and social networks. This video tells me that technology is going to make the world dumb because if we need to know sorting we can search it on technology and so we won’t learn it and it will make the world dumb. It matters to the world because someday robots might control the earth. The video describes why technology is good and why it is bad.
